Yohji Yamamoto Exhibition Closing Show V&A
Amongst all the funereal blacks, the occasional spark of colour. Yay!
Loving the Pilgrims' hat
Have resented the use of ideal beauty on the catwalk or for selling cheap tat in advertisements to us mortals and always wondered what it would be like if regular people modeled the clothes that we will actually buy. Well, hmmmm, this was my first taste of street casting and it was a rather lacklustre affair. The models were so uncomfortable that it distracted from the clothes and the show became dull, forgettable. Reluctantly, I concede defeat on the issue - for now, at least...I still have some very serious issues with, nay, objections to freaks of nature some people refer to as "models" (clearly a misnomer)...(See Erdem's A/W 11/12 show)
